I started this last year, but it took me a while to get it where I wanted it. I've learned a lot about digital art since starting it. Together, the two images create a sequence, and I've put it as my desktop, set to alternate between the two every 5 minutes. I like this sense of animation in my work.

Yay, it's finished! So if you go down a few posts, you'll see the unfinished version from about a week ago. I felt like it needed a lot of changes, and to help it along, I started using references for the heads and hands. I completely re-did the background (an endeavor that I wouldn't normally take on, but in this case, it made it look so much better!) and that actually was pretty fun. I should do more romantic landscapes. All in all, I'm pretty happy about how this turned out. It actually looks a lot like what I was mentally picturing. And that's a plus.

I started this one two years ago, and little by little I've been adding characters. I know the faces look kinda creepy floating around, but it'll get better. I just added the character's body on the left, and I hope to do more soon. Enjoy.

Okay, wow. I'm gonna be the first to say I don't know where this came from. One minute I was working on "Medieval Love" and the next I created this still life. This took about 4 hours total--a record time for me. I chose the title mannequin because it's figurative without having the figure involved. The copper rose and the mask are both echoes of living things. Like a mannequin, they are reference for something more, but in this painting, they take on their own meaning as something entirely different.

So I decided to enter one of those Gaia contests, and I'm going for "Most Passionate." So far, I've figured out the anatomical structure of the figures, laid out the back ground, and put some color on, but I still need to edit the color and add more detail...the part I find most tedious. I like creating something fast and passionately, so when it comes to perfecting, I struggle sometimes. I feel like there's some technique I'm missing, some magical touch that will create clarity in the image. But for now, I'm just gonna do it the way I know how-detail by detail.
